The 360 struggled in the time period you mentioned for 2 reasons. The first was it had not had a price cut since launch and the people willing to buy that console at the price it was at was getting less and less. The same thing is happening now with the ps3 and will continue to happen until the ps3 price cuts.
The second reason is the ps3 at its price was more valuable than the 360 at its price as it contains thing...
both sony and microsoft use shipped numbers so your point is a tad silly.
Even so I'd still belive that 8 million is probable otherwise sony would have come out and refuted the claim. But they haven't.
they jumped from 21 -25 million sold between september and november. Its hard to assess sales consumers properly as MS, Sony and Nintendo all give out figures of sold to retailers and not consumers so a huge increase in numbers given by a company could mean they have flooded retailers and not neccessarily sold them to consumers.
they are oustanding designs but very unreliable. Not sure what to do with my next phone.
NPD shows the 360 is touch over 8 million ahead in NA. If its 1 million ahead in europe and 2 million behind in japan it comes to 7 million. But this analysis doesn't include many smaller markets where the 360 is doing much better such as Mexico and Korea. I think South America also contributes minutely - is the ps3 even released there? I heard it wasn't. 8 million is perfectly feasable to me.
eh? Yes MS you are strong favourites for 2nd place at the end of the gen now but just concentrate on the games and then everyone will be happy.

Face it business is business and if sony could they'd be doing what MS is doing, past experience shows that. All of the companies care about the money before you.
